Fees for Service
- Cost of Services ranges from $35 to $75 per hour.
- Rate quoted for editorial projects is dependent on the length and complexity of submission; and the type of editing requested. Proofreading and fact checking start at $35 per hour. Substantive and General Editing $50 per hour. For best results please submit your request via e-mail.
- Large projects (more than fifty pages) and long term contracts (e.g. multiple issues of a newsletter or series of mailers) may qualify for a discount.
- Consulting and writing projects range from $60 to $75 per hour and will be quoted on a case by case basis. A description of the project can be submitted by e-mail or by telephone.
- An estimate will be given and must by agreed upon before work begins.
- Estimates are based on the length of time anticipated to complete the project. As work progresses, in the unlikely event a substantial deviation from the original estimate is anticipated, Your Writing Doctor will contact you immediately.
- Minimum charge for any project is the one-hour rate. Additional charges are calculated to the nearest ten minutes.
